Role Purpose
Responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure equipment. Participation in troubleshooting, process improvement, new equipment installation and documentation of electrical infrastructure and process equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots infrastructure equipment, systems and processes when required to ensure uninterrupted customer supply.
- Works with Quality and Engineering to document repairs/changes made to equipment and/or electrical infrastructure.
- Identifies critical spare parts to have on-hand to prevent extended downtime.
- Participates in required PPA’s and electrical shutdowns.
- Supports electrical capital equipment projects including specification, design input, testing, installation and commissioning.
- Procures replacement equipment in support of the facilities and promoting the innovation process.
- Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
- Assume leadership of the electrical preventive maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with union trades, subcontractors and across all levels and organizations.
- Ability to direct work packages.
- Ability to work with and without schematics.
- Self-starter and motivated to complete the task at hand.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Provides technical support to engineering team.
- Complies with safety standards including LO/TO and NFPA 70E.
- Participates in iKaizen and LEAN activities as necessary to drive continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to medium voltage electrical infrastructure systems.
- Adherence to plant safety requirements, OSHA, NFPA and NEC guidelines as applicable.
- Safety glasses, safety-toed shoes, hard hat, fire-retardant clothing, hearing protection and clean room attire required in applicable areas.
- Ability to climb ladders with equipment
Experiences/Education - Required
- High School diploma/GED with 10 or more years of experience in the field electrical/electronic maintenance and troubleshooting or Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic, instrumentation or process controls with 2-4 years experience.
- Proficient in the use of electrical test meters, PC’s and/or schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipment/infrastructure.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- AAS Electrical Technology
- Experience with LEAN Methodologies
- Experience with medium voltage, low voltage, PLC’s, controls and communication protocols.
- Experience with UPS and Generator backed systems.

The range for this position is $59,476.00 - $81,780.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
