  • Corning is seeking an experienced renewable energy project leader, who will focus on the development and management of renewable energy projects in support of Corning’s Environmental goal “By 2030, Corning Incorporated will increase its use of renewable energy by 400% from a 2018 baseline”.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Serves as owners’ representative for all renewable energy contracts
  • Manages the approval process for all contract documents (coordinates with accounting, purchasing, legal, finance, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders)
  • Responsible for the performance tracking of existing renewable energy contracts; provides budget reports
  • Manages all REC activities
  • Ensures that all public renewable energy claims are supported by 3rd party verification statements and comply with all regulatory protocol.
  • Maintains all contracts and materials in compliance with Corning’s record retention policies
  • Completes CDP Climate Change, CDP Water, Customer, Government, and NGO surveys as warranted.
  • Keeps abreast of changing industry trends, legislation, regulations, and investigates potential opportunities


Travel Requirements:

  • Estimate travel up to 20% depending upon specific project assignment. Domestic and International.


Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preference for energy or environmental science, engineering, or business
  • 5 plus years relevant experience with an energy supplier, electric utility, project developer or related field


Required Skills:

  • Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities
  • Experience leading project teams
  • Demonstrated strong presentation skills
  • Experience as a plant or corporate buyer, procurement processes and systems, contract writing
