Role Purpose

Provides executive administrative support to Corporate Officers in an organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Handles details of items that are highly confidential and critical in nature on a daily basis
  • Point of contact for outside companies at the executive leadership level
  • Makes contact with internal and external executive leadership on matters that are of a sensitive nature to the company
  • Management of corporate officer during business hours and after hours when required
  • Interface directly with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Corporate Officers, Board of Directors (occasionally), and their executive assistants
  • Manage all aspects of calendar, phone and travel for business and occasionally, personal needs
  • Offsite executive meetings/events, recognition, team building
  • Manage and process expense reports using Concur
  • Proactively directs, collects, and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings for corporate officer, internal and external individuals, customer meetings, as well as materials for high level corporate meetings (internal and external)
  • Manage complex travel arrangements (both domestic and international) and proactively stays ahead of changes; including management of all travel documents and management of corporate aircraft requests (business and personal) as required
  • Manage and maintain supplies for office
  • Initiate and manage purchase order processes and procedures
  • Support for all Corporate Development projects (i.e. mergers, acquisitions, JV, etc)
  • Occasional domestic and international travel

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Associates degree desired
  • 5-8 years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles
  • Communication:  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the corporation.  Strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, focus on error-free work and follow up to ensure tasks are complete
  • Strategic Specialist:   Highly motivated, self-starter, detail oriented and anticipates corporate officer’s needs.   Strong crisis management, decision making/problem solving skills and balanced judgment while maintaining professional composure and demeanor at all times
  • Innovative Leader:  Well networked within Corning, leads by example, looks for new ideas and bases decisions on the business needs.  Exercises high level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
  • Skilled Manager:  Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexible, works efficiently and effectively in a dynamic high-pressure and fast paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Technology Leader:  Stays current on trends and is willing to adapt to new technology and processes.   Strong computer/technology skills. Knowledge of company operations, policies and procedures and a good understanding of Corning’s businesses
  • Professionalism: Presence, maturity, appearance, and strategic mindset are critical to success in this position. Must be accessible, dependable and reliable

The range for this position is  $60,530.00   -  $83,230.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
