Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Schedule and Plan work for trades associates ensuring timely and correct completion of customer request and preventative maintenance work orders, and support supervision for Trades Associates, laborers, and housekeeping operations.
  • Ensure compliance with plant rules and policies.
  • Manage scheduling of employees.
  • Maintain positive union-management relations throughout the Downtown Campus.
  • Coordinate special projects and events to ensure building standards are maintained and personnel are fully utilized.
  • Monitor safety and health standards and ensure inspections and corrective actions are completed.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value add activity.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and division policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Oversee operations in absence of supervisor. Provide secondary support for Kronos system.
  • On board new employees; Conduct Day one training, ensure the completion of safety training and any additionally required training.  

Projects Involved With

  • All daily operations and special projects of the housekeeping department.
  • Data entry of work orders for operations requirements.
  • Order supplies to meet the department’s needs.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • A.A.S in related field or applicable equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in facilities/maintenance
  • Ability to direct and lead the activities of a hourly workforce.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Problem solving, prioritization and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain a good working relationship with team members.

Desired & Soft Skills

 

  • Dedicated team player who works well with all payroll levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple locations.
  • Ability to train department personnel.
  • Technical knowledge of facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure
  • Good coaching and listening skills.
  • Ability to facilitate large department meetings.
  • Proficient data entry skills and experience with MS Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Maximo.
  • Dependability and strong and work ethic.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization that includes vendors, suppliers, management and the hourly workforce.

The range for this position is $50,130.00 - $68,930.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
