Our Finance Manager, FP&A, CPT will provide financial expertise and insight to senior management, highlighting issues to enable decisions in support of the Finance strategy, goals, and objectives. They are a key business partner with responsibility for influencing decision making while demonstrating a strong leadership mindset. This position requires someone with a strong understanding of commercial finance, consolidations, cost accounting, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions. They will be responsible for leading Corporate & Division monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes, developing financial models, assessing financial plans, and proactively addressing financial challenges. Candidate will be a key finance business partner and subject matter expert to guide Division leadership on strategies to maximize financial profitability in various planning scenarios.

 

As a Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies, you will:

  • Lead preparation and required analysis in completion of reporting, forecasting, and budgeting presentation requirements
  • Provide and evaluate data analytics to quantify risks and opportunities, identify variances and appropriate actions, evaluate financial scenarios, and develop new approaches to solving complex problems
  • Implement internal control systems and ensure compliance to local regulations, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, US GAAP, Corporate Accounting Policies, and statutory and tax accounting requirements
  • Implement continuous improvement programs and performance management practices to drive accountability, improve efficiency and quality, and enable better decision making
  • Support projects and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Serving as a bridge between corporate and division finance to ensure clear communication of financial plans / forecasts / results.
  • Partner with regional financial leaders and plant controllers to ensure consistent understanding of metrics, variances, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive working capital and key balance sheet accounts and engage in balance sheet planning to maximize ROIC, minimize working capital, drive metrics (eg. DOS, DSO, DPP)
  • Responsibility for overall Division OPEX spend including actual, forecast, budget, etc.

 

Key Capabilities for this role include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong financial and accounting background, solid understanding of GAAP and financial controls
  • Ability to influence decisions through analytics and delivery of messaging
  • Experience optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking; the ability to look ahead, identify issues, and take appropriate action
  • Able to manage through ambiguity and perform in a fast past environment, proven ability to embrace and drive change, and ability to test decisions and provide alternative recommendations

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance or Accounting
  • MBA/CPA Preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in a discipline that involved analysis, or 3+ years and a Master’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
