Role Purpose
Plant Controller for the Corning R&D US campus responsible for closing, budget, forecast, and overall financial health of the business unit. Guiding senior managers in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting processes for Research & Development at Sullivan Park
- Responsible for the closing and audit/SOX compliance for the three S&T operating units (Research, Development, EIG)
- Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger
- Responsible for budget and analytical support for S&T Operations, Research and Development
- Responsible for the direct charge processes including calculation, management review, and Service Level Agreement generation and signature process
- Supervise the S&T accounting staff and asset management (physical assets & precious metal)
- Meet regularly with department heads to review actual financial results and discuss upcoming events that impact forecast
- Responsible for answering policy and accounting questions from the entire S&T employee base
- Participate on the S&T Plant Manager’s staff and provide analytical support, period reporting, and financial communications for that group.
- Partner with Shared Services and other organizations to effectively serve the Sullivan Park community
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting Required Skills
- Strong accounting, control, analysis and problem solving skills

The range for this position is $132,649.00 - $182,393.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
