The Tax Coordinator/Analyst will be responsible for specific tax duties such as preparing basic tax returns, annual reports, processing and preparing estimated tax payments, processing and mailing all tax returns, corresponding with various tax jurisdictions, electronic filing of returns and other duties as assigned.  The position will report to the state tax manager.


  • Prepare miscellaneous state tax filings including tax adjustments with supporting workpapers
  • Complete tax processing for income tax returns (i.e. applicable tax return attachments, statements, completes and tracks certified mailing slips and obtains signature copies for filings)
  • Generates and processes tax payments and provides cash tax reconciliations
  • Responsible for collecting and collating tax specific requests such as state tax apportionment packages
  • Creates, organizes, and standardizes state tax files in the SharePoint site and file room
  • Provide support to the department such as scanning, copying, handling the mail and filing critical documents.
  • Owns and maintains tax filing calendar
  • Responds to tax notices and assists with tax audits including IDR responses
  • Assists with basic tax accounting activities
  • Proactively make process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency


  • Strong attention to detail and organized
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well with the department as well as function independently of supervision
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great analytical and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax, PeopleSoft, SAP, S/4HANA a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.  Accounting or finance a plus
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and/or tax fundamentals
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with account reconciliations
