The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.

Purpose of the Position:

  • Support Global Supply Management opportunities through current operating procedures of financial models, participation on value stream working teams, collaboration with functional experts, and preparation of financial analysis for internal use.
  • Provide results and analysis to department owners, support ad hoc requests.
  • Support Global Supply Management’s forecast and planning processes.
  • Support accounting and closing processes for multiple GSM entities by utilizing shared services.
  • Provide reliable financial information to business teams and financial leadership.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead/Support financial areas to include entity spend tracking, cost analysis, capital eTAD analysis, and direct charge model.
  • Provide ad hoc and ongoing decision support to GSM XLT by performing data analysis, cost benefit analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Prepare period reports and monitor business spend. Work with Business Controller and Finance Director to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results.
  • Coordinate spend reviews with GSM Value Stream leadership, identify and research areas of concern or inconsistency, and make or implement recommendations to resolve.
  • Drive forecast / budget preparation. Work directly with project team and GSM locations to complete forecasts in support of corporate process deliverables and timelines. Update forecast in Khalix as needed for GB/BB/Month end closings.
  • Interface with Shared Services, EFS, and Portfolio team on stream processes, deployed infrastructure, and Lean/DMAIC processes.

Education & Experience:

  • 4 year Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required.
  • MBA, Masters, or CPA/CMA with advanced business finance experience, or combination a plus.
  • 2-4 years practical working experience in finance role

Required Skills:

  • Solid accounting skills with global focus
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to link to business impact
  • Strong presentation (written, oral) and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint
  • Understanding of business analyses, pricing, cost modeling, and strategic decision analyses
  • Understanding of SOX controls

Desired Skills:

  • Process Excellence, Six Sigma skills (green+ belt) and practical experience in application of these skills.  
  • Ability to work with flexible and dynamic ‘virtual’ business teams to collect and analyze data, then recommend or implement actions based upon analysis.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and across matrixed lines of reporting, enabling flexibility in completing work and communicating results.
  • Large company financial analysis skills.
