Role Purpose

As a Forecasting Intern, you will assist in supporting Gorilla Glass Commercial Forecasting Team in achieving objectives by analyzing historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecast future demand for our glass and evaluate existing processes for opportunities to automate. You will collaborate closely with various departments including Account Managers, Product Line Managers, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop accurate forecasts that inform key business decisions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail to drive business growth and success. 

Note: Role will be a defined project that can be completed during the summer 2026 10-week internship (May-August 2026)

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate on or lead a project that helps improve the Gorilla Glass operations which would include, but not limited to, the following steps:
    • Analyze the existing process or procedure 
    • Evaluate and recommend an approach using Advanced Analytic tools to improve the current state
    • Coordinate and execute a project from start to finish
    • Report out on the project in terms of the expected results and what improvements were made  
  • Support day-to-day operations and understand the overall organization of the Gorilla Glass Environment team (forecasting, CI and market intel) and as practical during the internship
  • Learn about the organization and the functions to understand how the division operates

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative discipline, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location: Corning, NY. 

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience with forecasting models, time series analysis, and predictive analytics is preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Knowledge of supply chain or operations forecasting
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
