Role Purpose

The HR Director, Global Manufacturing is the senior HR partner to global manufacturing leadership, responsible for aligning talent and organization strategies with business priorities across manufacturing operations and provides HR leadership for Global Manufacturing and Quality (GMQ).

This role partners closely with manufacturing leaders and HRMs to build leadership capability, strengthen succession plans, and ensure workforce readiness across plant locations. This role requires strong business partnership, sound judgment, and the ability to connect enterprise talent strategy with the needs of individual plants and leadership teams.

Through regular plant engagement, talent reviews, and participation in operational reviews, the HR Director maintains a strong understanding of organizational needs and serves as a talent broker across the manufacturing network—helping identify, assess, and move talent to meet current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with global manufacturing leadership to align talent and organization strategies with business priorities
  • Coach leaders on talent decisions, succession strategy, leadership effectiveness, and organization capability.
  • Work closely with plant leaders and HRMs to strengthen leadership capability and organizational effectiveness
  • Support talent planning, succession planning, and workforce readiness across plant locations
  • Maintain a strong pulse on plant organizations through regular site engagement and direct leadership interaction
  • Participate in talent reviews and operational reviews to assess organizational capability and business needs
  • Act as a talent broker across the manufacturing network, helping identify and move talent across sites and functions
  • Serve as a mentor and trusted HR advisor to operations leaders across manufacturing, supporting career development, growth, and leadership progression
  • Serve as the lead HR partner to the Manufacturing Effectiveness Council (MEC), Plant Manager Group (PMG), and Manufacturing Operations Group (MOG), supporting talent, leadership, and organizational priorities
  • Provide HR leadership for Global Manufacturing and Quality (GMQ), including core talent and HR processes such as Voice to Action, Annual Salary Review, Performance and Development Review, and 9-Box. Lead and support key manufacturing talent pipeline and development programs—including Talent Assist (TA), Propel, SURGE, MEP, AME, and GMLE—through program design and oversight, talent planning, recruiting, assessments, and development support
  • Partner closely with the engineering global HR Director to lead critical plant engineering manufacturing talent moves and support enterprise talent needs
  • Serve as a trusted HR leader for strategic corporate programs impacting manufacturing, including frontline supervisor initiatives, GMLE (revamp) pay initiatives, PWE-related challenges, plant HRM coverage, and employee relations matters, including investigations

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership support in manufacturing, operations and business
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and influence talent and organization decisions
  • Strong experience in talent planning, succession management, leadership assessment, and organizational effectiveness
  • Ability to operate effectively across a multi-site, matrixed environment
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, and judgment
  • Strong leadership consulting, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance enterprise talent priorities with business needs

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience supporting global or multi-site manufacturing organizations
  • Experience working closely with plant leadership and plant HRM teams
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and move talent across a complex organization
  • Experience participating in business or operational review forums

The range for this position is $172,964.00 - $237,826.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
