Overview: The Retirement Analyst position provides support to the Financial Benefits Manager for all retirement programs. Responsibilities include administrative compliance, supporting the outsourcing and implementation with various vendors, reviewing a variety of pension retirement packages, ensuring data accuracy, executing all annually required filing and mailings, and all general day to day operations for each retirement benefit program. Assists in the management and coordination of retirement benefit offerings, benefit eligibility, and maintenance of employee benefit records.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Financial Benefits Manager in the administration of all financial benefit programs
  • Monitor retirement programs / processes / policies to ensure compliance with current legal and regulatory policies and in direct or indirect support of Corning Values and positive work environment objectives
  • Support benefit plan compliance activities (IRS, PBGC, DOL, ERISA, etc.)
  • Support annual plan audit process
  • Provide functional expertise for financial benefit programs (pension, 401k)
  • Support financial benefits special projects
  • Support administration of qualified and non-qualified financial benefits including review of processes, review of benefit calculations, statements, etc.
  • Vendor Interaction/Engagement
  • Manage participant issue resolution
  • Promote continuous improvement through periodic reviews and evaluations of Retirement programs / processes / policies
  • Provide reporting on the performance and impact of Retirement programs and provide recommendations to ensure achievement of targeted results
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet AOP goals
  • Assist in the development and delivery of educational and compliance benefits communications

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of pension plan experience (combination of Corporate Benefits, consulting, administration)

 

Technical qualifications:

  • This individual must be proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to analyze systems and procedures and develop improvements
