The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Role Purpose
The HR Consultant role is designed to provide leadership and oversight of key HR processes across two businesses within the Mobile Consumer Electronics (MCE) group: Gorilla Glass and Advanced Optics.
The objective of this role is to ensure effective execution of HR processes while delivering impactful results that drive organizational success. This position serves as a critical partner to business leadership, employees, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), focusing on areas such as performance management, compensation, talent planning, employee engagement (Voice to Action), and corporate HR initiatives. Additionally, the role emphasizes process improvement, strategic planning, and the seamless deployment of HR programs tailored to the needs of both businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Process Ownership and Deployment:
- Lead and manage key HR processes, including performance management, compensation (ASR/PIP/LTI), talent planning, Voice to Action initiatives, and corporate HR programs.
- Deploy business-specific HR initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Internship Program Leadership:
- Oversee and lead the US Internship Program, ensuring its successful execution and alignment with talent acquisition and talent pipelining strategies
- Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR tools to gather, analyze, and interpret data relevant to both businesses.
- Prepare dashboards and summaries to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Communication and Training:
- Develop comprehensive communications for HR processes tailored to various audiences, including business leadership and general employee populations.
- Create and implement cascading communication and tool process maps for HR initiatives.
- Deliver training sessions on HR tools and processes to employees across the MCE division.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Assess and suggest improvements to HR COE processes and tools based on user experience and feedback.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop forward-looking plans for HR programs and initiatives, ensuring readiness for launches 90+ days ahead.
Experiences/Education - Required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in HR process management and implementation.
- Strong data analytics skills, including the ability to create dashboards and summaries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively across two businesses and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including HR directors.
- Proficiency in HR tools and systems, with the ability to deliver training and support usage across employee populations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to plan and execute initiatives in advance.
- BS degree in Human Resources, Business or other relatable degree program
- 5+ years of HR experience

The range for this position is $79,519.00 - $109,339.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
