Scope of Position: The HR Coordinator provides direct support to the HR teams responsible for Workplace Services, Aviation, Security, Government Affairs & Corporate Communications. The position primarily focuses on HR data and analytics, union/hourly support and project support.

 

Key Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding process for all new and transfer hires
  • Manage the monthly HR reporting (Headcount, Recognition, Diversity, Overtime, Attrition, etc.)
  • Position management – creating new positions, editing positions
  • Hiring, onboarding, transferring, terminating, address changes, supervisor changes, org changes, Promotions, pay rate changes, Data steward audits, training, best practices, service pin coordination, etc
  • Coordinating remote agent I-9
  • Manage the Tuition Reimbursement process
  • Prepare presentations and communication materials as needed
  • Leverage process improvement methods to identify opportunities to improve HR processes
  • Partners with HRMs to manage/input employee FMLA, PFL, Disability and Workers Compensation for employees
  • Support union workforce with payroll and attendance questions (Kronos)
  • Assist with job movement utilizing the Bids & Transfer System
  • Interpret and execute all aspects of the union contract

 

Project Responsibilities:

  • Organizational announcements – coordinate with supervisors and communications
  • Completion of Immigration authorizations forms (requires personal data available to HR in employee profile)
  • Verification of employee agreements
  • Rewards tracking and confirmation
  • Provide data reports for leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain databases to track and monitor activity on functional initiatives including talent management, diversity, leadership development training, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage the intern process

 

Required Education: Associates degree in Human Resources, Business / Business Administration, or equivalent qualification/experience

 

Required Years and Area of Experience: At least 1-3 years of combined HR/Admin experience (generalist/specialist) or equivalent

  • High attention to detail
  • Computer Proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft)
  • Ability to review data, draw conclusions, and communicate points of view on data gathered
  • Ability to create “client/business-ready” PowerPoint decks
  • Ability to deliver “completed staff work”
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and workload on a daily basis
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills (serves as a key liaison between HR and employees); able to build rapport, be approachable, resourceful, and responsive

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or HR certifications
  • Work experience in the administration of HR or Business processes or programs
  • Able to function efficiently in a fast-paced work environment (taking initiative, working independently and handling multiple priorities)
