The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

Role Purpose
As an HR Generalist, Finance and Communications, you will support strategic and operational HR initiatives across the Finance and Corporate Communications organizations. The person in this role will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance in areas such as employee relations, compliance, performance management, organizational development, and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy HR initiatives to supporting functions to align with Finance HR and HR function’s strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Corning COEs on HR programs and deployment plans
- Supports HR Finance and Communications teams to ensure consistency in processes to support both functions.
- Facilitate HR processes to create positive employee experiences
- Monitor automated systems/tools used for shared services operations; identify trends requiring intervention/escalation where applicable.
- Leverage systems data and analytical skills to evaluate issues and implement corrective action
- Assist HR Manager with reporting requirements tied to metrics that drive positive business results.
- Prioritize ongoing tasks such as managing employee data updates or responding to inquiries from employees/managers.
- Implement process controls that ensure accuracy while adhering to company policies/regulations.
- Recommend/implement process improvements that contribute to increased efficiency while enhancing the employee experience.
- Ensure all SOPs are complete, accurate, and updated regularly based on policy changes/process enhancements.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of progressive HR experience (generalist/specialist).
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, processes, and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing HR documents, records, and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain professionalism, handle sensitive situations, and build relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience analyzing data using Excel or similar tools is a plus.

The range for this position is $79,519.00 - $109,339.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
