Corning is seeking an experienced SuccessFactors Learning System Administrator responsible for configuration, maintenance, provisioning, operation, and ongoing administration of the SuccessFactors Learning application. This position will be a key member of the Human Resources Operations & Analytics team, which includes both HRIM and IT professionals. To support the on-going operation and optimization of SuccessFactors, this position will:

  • Manage and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) including system configuration, course deployments, user setup and administration, resolution of technical issues, and overall system support
  • Partner with the Workforce Development and Learning organization to ensure that their technology needs are understood and incorporated into the overall HR Technology strategy
  • Understand Workforce Development and Learning's approach to Learning governance, and ensure that the LMS supports the governance model
  • Manage projects in the area of Learning Management and understand the time required to accomplish key tasks and to work with both the internal teams and the external SuccessFactors team in order to meet customer commitments on time
  • Ensure the Learning system is well integrated with the rest of the SuccessFactors talent applications.
  • Perform analysis and develop solutions that solve business problems/opportunities.
  • Use system knowledge and expertise to understand business processes, gaps and opportunities to convert that knowledge into effective implementation.
  • Manage implementation of quarterly upgrades and periodic patches - including writing test scripts, testing, validation, communications.
  • Participate in periodic system testing ensuring that LMS systems are fully functional as designed
  • Maintaining system by uploading modules, changing system set-up, troubleshooting course functionality, updating course content, and creating, scheduling, and running reports
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of Corning’s configuration, including security permissions for the Learning systems and the manner in which the learning system interacts with the rest of SuccessFactors.
  • Work closely with third-party support resources, SuccessFactors resources and Corning IT service lines in resolving day-to-day issues with the system.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline business process by modifying and or creating procedural documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, instructional design, education, computer science other related degree or 6 years relevant work experience (i.e., working with a Learning Management System including designing and tracking learning activities or instructional materials for technical content)
  • Experience administering a cloud based Learning Management system such as SumTotal or Saba or SAP SuccessFactors Learning module
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communications skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to function effectively when working independently or in a team
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in system implementations, integrations with in-house and 3rd party solutions.
  • Able to identify system solutions and solve business needs using technology.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with additional SuccessFactors modules
  • Project leadership skills with proven project management experience
  • Proficient with SCORM, AICC, xAPI, cmi5
  • Knowledge of training development with some experience and knowledge of curriculum design

Work Location: Preferred Location, Corning NY.  Will consider Remote work with travel to Corning, NY up to 40%.
