Purpose of the Position:
- Partner with lead HRM to ensure successful HR service delivery to growing, complex Corporate Product & Process Development (CPPD) division.
- Provide HR generalist support to multiple business technology directorates as well as be responsible for division wide HR projects/programs.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Partner on developing and implementing HR strategy for CPPD.
- Direct accountability for directorates of significant size in CPPD supporting key leaders and their teams (Corning Engineering & Technology, Corning Life Sciences, Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies, Corning Optical Communications and other as assigned)
- Lead key HR initiatives for CPPD division or directorates, compensation, performance management, talent management/people reviews, immigration/expatriation, recognition, diversity, leadership/supervisory development, career development and training HR lead on intern initiatives to benefit CPPD/Science & Technology and the company providing oversight for HR Rotational assignee.
- Revise/Develop CPPD supervisor forum to build leadership capabilities, communication skills, HR process skills and build solid foundational understanding of supervisor best practices and information sharing in a collaborative/safe group setting for CPPD employees.
- CPPD liaison with Talent pipelining efforts across the Technology Community (TC) Member of Technology Community HR function, assuming responsibility for leading initiatives across the TC Project involved with HR lead on intern initiatives to benefit CPPD/S&T and provide oversight for HR Rotational assignee.
- Revise/Develop CPPD supervisor forum to build leadership capabilities, communication skills, HR process skills and build solid foundational understanding of supervisor best practices and information sharing in a collaborative/safe group setting for CPPD employees
- Other HR programs/projects as assigned Reporting Structure: reports to lead HR Manager, CPPD and will be part of the TC HR team
Education & Experience:
- BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial & Labor Relations or related area and/or HR certifications
Required Skills:
- 5 - 7 years of HR technical expertise, generalist experience is a must
- Technological curiosity-have a real interest in technology
- Business Acumen
- Basic Project management skills and practices, demonstrates process orientation
- Proactive, results oriented, responsive and bias for action
- Relationship acumen, collaborative partner, builds relationships and keeps commitments
- Leadership and coaching experience, ability to work with all levels in the organization, experience working with senior leaders is a plus
- Strong computer skills and analytical skill set, must be tech savvy and be able to build and manipulate excel spreadsheets, have experience with communicating through PowerPoint presentations
- HR service orientation, responsiveness to employees- act as an employee advocate
- Balance multiple priorities- able to juggle multiple programs and employee needs
Desired Skills:
- MS degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial & Labor Relations or related area and/or HR certifications
- Plant experience helpful & Experience with global teams
- Flexibility and ability to be responsive and agile to client group needs
- Lifelong learner mentality- desire to learn and grow in role

The range for this position is $93,382.00 - $128,400.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
