The HR manager position is responsible for providing HR leadership to a business unit or function organization by identifying, developing and implementing HR strategies that deliver value and drive impact for our employees to meet or exceed business objectives.  


Role Overview

  1. Collaborating with HR Director/DVP/VP to prioritize current and future talent requirements of the business unit or function which could adversely affect achievement of annual business objectives
  2. Partnering with business executives and leaders to identify and implement a compelling employee value proposition that enables the client to attract and retain the number and type of talent required to close talent gaps
  3. Supporting business management in effectively deploying performance management and rewards processes/practices to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results and ensure retention of top performers
  4. Functioning as the voice of the business customer to HR to ensure that the type and level of services provided fully support achievement of business objectives
  5. Educating business management in development and implementation of required programs and processes to drive a positive work environment through business management and supervisors
  6. Resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that recognizes employee needs and protects the needs of the business to operate in an effective and efficient manner
  7. Implementing appropriate risk management policies and procedures to ensure business compliance with safety requirements and local, state, and federal employment laws

Preferred Background/Experience:

  • At least 6 - 8 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related fields
  • Master’s degree in related area and/or HR certifications preferred
  • Six Sigma Green belt/Black belt certification – a plus
  • Successful track record of performance as an HR manager or HR Business Partner
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading teams and/or projects
  • Successful track record in the development & deployment of global HR business processes or programs
  • Successful track record of continuous process/product improvement
  • Experience (assignment/project participation) in aligning business leadership around organization direction, design, and governance/decision rights
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective organization structures and work processes that improve business ability to achieve desired results—product start up, expansion, or mature business optimization
  • Experience supporting multiple client groups across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and policies; Global employment laws and policies – a plus
