Purpose of the Position: Business partner supporting CET global engineering:

  • Deliver the right number and type of talent needed to execute strategy and achieve business results.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the DVP & Division Engineering Manager to define and deliver HR objectives in support of CET global engineering.
  • Deliver effective HR processes in support of functional objectives.
  • Address global engineering talent gaps through development planning and recruiting to ensure client group has the right talent in the right place at the right time.
  • Develop and deploy a compelling employee value proposition to attract and retain the number and type of talent required to close talent gaps and deliver on business objectives.
  • Partner with CET Global Manufacturing HRM to develop global engineering talent strategy and pipeline to support growth and delivery of business objectives.
  • Partner with Global Manufacturing HRM to develop and deploy global onboarding program that minimizes learning curve time and maximizes performance.
  • Function as the voice of the customer to HR to ensure support provided aligns with achievement of client group business objectives.
  • Educate and lead client group leaders to view employee engagement and values leadership as key to driving performance results.
  • Resolve employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner, recognizing employee needs and balancing them against the needs of the business.
  • Implement appropriate risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate, local, state and federal employment laws.

Reporting Structure: Solid Line: Division HRM, Environmental Technologies

Dotted Line: DVP and Division Engineering Manager

Direct reports: Plant HRM at IDM & Dotted line responsibility for HR analyst at Erwin

Education & Experience:

  • BS Degree in ILR/HR (MS preferred)
  • At least 10 years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Previous partnerships with engineering and manufacturing client groups
  • Experience managing mobility, immigration & expatriate processes for client group
