Responsibilities:

  • Partner on developing and implementing HR strategy for Manufacturing Technology and Engineering division.
  • Direct accountability for directorates of significant size in MTE supporting key MTE leaders and their teams
  • Critical project work in support of the companywide engineering strategy, most notably Engineering Talent Development planning and implementation
  • Direct accountability for Corning Manufacturing Support (CMS), the organization responsible for providing critical precious metals and mason services to the company
  • Lead key HR initiatives for MTE division or directorates – compensation, performance management, talent management/people reviews, human capital planning, immigration/expatriation, restructuring, recognition, diversity, leadership/supervisory development, career development and training - HR lead on intern initiatives to benefit MTE/S&T and the company.
  • Includes providing oversight to key efforts (e.g. SWE, NSBE, core engineering campuses)
  • Member of Technology Community HR function, assuming responsibility for leading initiatives across the TC

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MILR is beneficial
  • Successful track record of performance in a Plant HR Supervisor or Manager role
  • First line supervision/experience
  • At least 10 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist) or equivalent

Travel Requirements: 5-10%, Domestic
