Scope of the Position: The HRIS Sr. Analyst, Talent Solutions, is responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of multiple HR Business Solutions capability supporting Talent processes at Corning as well as providing support for the Blue Line (SAP Workzone) technologies used for Talent. This role will partner closely with the Mgr, Talent Management Technology strategies who will set the overall strategic direction for True Blue Performance Management and Talent Planning Excellence. This role will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, provisioning, operation, and ongoing administration of these True Blue modules and participate in the delivery of new capabilities. This role will assist the global Talent COE with module design, issue resolution, and ongoing production support. This person will need to have a solid understanding of relevant Talent processes on a global scale, assisting the Talent COE by supporting the overarching strategy through the use of technology. This role will also be responsible for assisting the technology strategy organization in exploring and prototyping newly delivered software functionality, such as the “Opportunity Marketplace.” This will involve configuration and development of a working prototype in conjunction with the Talent COE to help facilitate decision making on potential implementation. Once a “marketplace” solution is deployed, this role will again be responsible for configuration, maintenance, provisioning, operation, and ongoing administration. The final role component will be to work in partnership with the WD&L and Technology strategy organizations in supporting the expansion of capabilities powered by Blue Line Technology (SAP Work Zone).

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational support of business process technology solutions for assigned True Blue Talent and Marketplace modules
  • Provide recommendations for implementing new functionality provided by True Blue via upgrades, patches, and releases for Talent modules with oversight for managing/coordinating recommendation across all service lines
  • Perform required testing related to upgrades, releases, fixes, enhancements
  • Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause where possible, documenting effectively and escalating appropriately
  • Translates business processes and requirements into system specifications
  • Create and submit support tickets with vendor and validate fixes as well as create user guides and training materials as it relates to the systems
  • Provide other HR systems support upon request from various constituencies.
  • Participates in project meetings, documenting issues, action items, user requirements, and deliverables.
  • Performs a variety of project related activities, including analysis or preparation of documentations and presentations.
  • Learning how to deploy and support new Blue Line technology tools to facilitate HR Talent processes by leveraging Blue Line (Work Zone technologies including items such as:
    • UI-5 cards o Workflow
    • Knowledge bases
  • This work will focus on design of capabilities, working with technology SMES who will be needed to perform the most technical aspects of the technology. As the SMEs do the technical build, this role will then focus on acceptance testing, deployment and support.

 

Education and Experience:

  •  Bachelor's degree  – degree in HR, HRIS or Information Technology is desirable
  • 5+ years related experience (generalist, specialist, project management, etc.)

 

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong consultative skills, with proven ability to persuade and influence within and across organizational boundaries
  • Broad-based knowledge of information technology and HRIS applications, and/or functional experience in Talent processes
  • Experience with Talent modules in SuccessFactors, and awareness across all others highly desirable
  • Ability to analyze periodic upgrades and make recommendations for utilizing new system functionality
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and work organization skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to experiment and learn
  • Ability to maintain required documentation for system changes, updates and maintenance
  • Ability to provide day-to-day support for our production environments
  • Able to work on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, resolve problems, remove barriers, & communicate effectively
  • Strong documentation, facilitation and communication skills
