The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

Position Scope:
Corning is seeking students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or higher for our HR Internship program.
- Opportunity to work with Human Resource Directors/Managers in one of Corning’s business divisions or in a Center of Excellence (COE)
- Gain exposure to strategies, policies, and processes within the HR function and potentially to one of the businesses within Corning.
- Specific project work will entail partnering with HR and Business leaders in one of the following areas, including but not limited to: Talent Management, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Legal/ER, Diversity Management, etc.
- This would supply the opportunity for you to apply your knowledge gained in your degree program.
- A fair amount of analysis and formal presentations of work products will be needed.
- Interns will be matched with specific projects placement based on interests and critical business needs
Required Skills:
- Hands-on self-starter, capable of juggling multiple priorities in an organized manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing for communication across entire organization.
- Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement.
- Excellent computer and analytical skills such as conducting data analysis
- Ability to multi-task
- Professional attitude and behavior
Preferred background/experience:
- Prior HR related work or a HR focused internship experience
- Industrial and Labor Relations Courses
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software
Successful completion of the HR internship may lead to future internships and/or full-time opportunity in the HR Leadership Development Program (HRLDP), a multi-year rotational program for HR professional development post-graduation.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $1,519.00 - $3,074.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
