The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of the Position

The purpose of the internship is to gain an understanding around network security policy management, troubleshoot and support where needed, and monitor the process along with reporting the results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Management: Design and implement network access control policies based on organizational requirements. Configure authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve ISE-related issues, including authentication or performance problems. Provide technical support to teams using ISE for network and endpoint security.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor ISE system health and performance. Generate reports on network access, security events, and policy compliance.

 

Education & Experience

  • Relevant interest in network security, general understanding of networking, Interest in learning Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and its role in network access control and endpoint security.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Relevant experience a plus

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to work with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and troubleshoot basic system issues.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
