Therefore characterizing and assessing the product performance in-use (vehicle, machine, etc) becomes essential to determine requirements for future product solutions and system optimizations. The role of the In-use testing manager is to lead a team to develop, improve, implement global in-use test capability and execute test programs (in house and with customers). Focus is on non-road and heavy duty applications (to a lesser extent light duty) for all relevant fuel types for internal combustion engines. Besides the deep evaluations of criteria pollutants (NOx, N2O, NH3, HC, CO and PN), GHG/CO2 assessment another area of concern as well as the proper implementation of Corning’s aftertreatment components in the vehicles to deliver reliable value to our customers. This role covers the requirements of all global emissions regulations and will work with Corning’s global engineering organizations.
