Role Purpose

Under the supervision of a lead attorney specializing in Intellectual Property, the Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to Attorneys and Paralegals within the Intellectual Property Center of Excellence (COE) at Corning’s Law Department. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare specialized Intellectual Property forms, including Abandonment and Declaration documents.
  • Schedule and organize meetings efficiently.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage expenses for Attorneys.
  • Independently gather and compile information following established procedures.\
  • Proactively identify workflow inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
  • Manage daily routine tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Ensure office coverage during normal business hours.
  • Ensure all work is error-free, with thorough follow-up to complete tasks.
  • Provides administrative back up support within organization

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Robust organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with error-free work. Capability to work independently and seek assistance as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and individuals at all levels.
  • Maintain professional composure and demeanor at all times.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience; 1+ years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles

 

 


The range for this position is $39,710.00 - $54,601.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
