Scope of Position:

The internship will involve working within the Corning Law Department, supporting Corning’s internal lawyers in addressing legal matters for Corning. The intern will primarily support the M&A Center of Excellence within the Law Department, which is responsible for providing legal support for Corning’s corporate development activities.


The intern may also engage with Corning lawyers on matters related to commercial and international law, corporate governance, corporate compliance, and other legal practice groups. Specific work areas may include researching laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to corporate and transactional law; reviewing and drafting agreements, corporate resolutions, and other transaction documents; assisting with due diligence review; preparing forms and other resources for use in transactions; and advising on Corning’s rights and responsibilities under existing agreements.



  • Support attorneys by working on legal research and writing, contract drafting, due diligence review, matter management, and related projects and tasks.


Travel Requirements: None

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Basic work hours are 40hrs/week; 8am-5pm


Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in Law School.
  • Course work completed to include: legal research and writing, contracts, business associations
  • GPA of 3.0 or above, a plus.
  • Relevant legal, science/engineering, business, M&A transaction, or finance experience, a plus.
