The Lead Finance Business Partner provides financial leadership and decision support for Corning Environmental Technologies, a $1.6 billion business. This role partners closely with Light Duty and Heavy Duty business leaders to drive strong financial performance through disciplined planning, forecasting, analysis, and governance. The Lead Financial Business partner plays a critical role in evaluating business performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring sound financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead finance partner to Light Duty and Heavy Duty business leadership, providing financial insight and decision support on operational, commercial, and strategic matters.
- Drive planning and performance management through annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Support business decisions and profitability improvement by evaluating pricing, cost initiatives, margin opportunities, investments, and other key performance drivers.
- Deliver financial reporting and presentations that provide clear, actionable insights to business and finance leadership.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance by maintaining adherence to United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Lead process improvement and digital finance initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, standardization, and automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and provide leadership across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Corporate Finance, and analyst support teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- 8 or more years of progressive finance experience, including business finance, controlling, or Financial Planning and Analysis roles
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Solid working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial controls
- Proven ability to partner with and influence business leaders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with enterprise financial systems, such as Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing, OneStream, PeopleSoft, Blackline, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Management Accountant
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven business
- Experience with capital investment analysis, Return on Investment / Internal Rate of Return modeling, and business case development
- Familiarity with Power BI or other financial analytics tools
Travel
- Minimal travel, less than 5 percent
The range for this position is $158,902.00 - $218,490.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
