Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

 

Develop and implement marketing and communications programs in support of the Optical Fiber and Cable (OFC) objectives, while advancing the business’ reputation among key stakeholder audiences.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement marketing plans in support of the business’ strategy and objectives
  • Support business internal and external communication tactics and material creation
  • Generate content for web applications, social media, events, presentations, employee communications, and other internal and external channels
  • Coordinate with business, corporate, marketing, and communications teams to ensure content and programs are tied into business and corporate priorities and follow brand and style guidelines
  • Write, develop, and facilitate approval of key business written materials
  • Create and maintain select internal processes and platforms
  • Coordinate a full range of communication tactics to maintain awareness of the Corning Optical Fiber and Cable value among internal and external audiences

Required Education 

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or other related field
  •  3-7 year experience in marketing or communications role with measurable success
  •  Writing experience, samples

The range for this position is $88,641.00 - $121,882.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
