Role Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Litigation Director, this role is responsible for supporting litigation matters, including legal hold processes, litigation budget forecasting, and eDiscovery vendor processing. The role assists in managing litigation obligations and assessing legal risk in the deployment, application, and management of enterprise legal technology. This individual will actively collaborate with members of the global Legal, IT, and HR organizations to build litigation risk prevention solutions that identify and preserve data required for litigation discovery. The role will also regularly partner with business organizations and legal functional areas, including the Senior Managing Counsel, Information Technology, Global Supply Management, and Global Information Security, in support of litigation risk management activities.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of the litigation lifecycle, litigation technology, eDiscovery best practices, legal hold, and eDiscovery vendor management. The individual should also be prepared to perform independent enterprise IT data analysis for legal hold audit and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support litigation matters, including legal hold processes, litigation budget forecasting, and eDiscovery vendor processing.
- Assist in managing litigation obligations and assessing legal risk in the deployment, application, and management of enterprise legal technology.
- Collaborate with members of the global Legal, IT, and HR organizations to build litigation risk prevention solutions and identify and preserve data required for litigation discovery.
- Partner with business organizations and legal functional areas, including Information Technology, Global Supply Management, and Global Information Security, for litigation risk management activities.
- Perform independent enterprise IT data analysis for legal hold audit and compliance purposes.
- Provide consultation, advice, and recommendations on litigation eDiscovery best practices by managing eDiscovery workflow design and documenting business processes as they relate to legal technology solutions.
- Consult on legal hold, data preservation, data collection, data culling, eDiscovery technology, and litigation risk mitigation best practices.
Experiences/Education - Required
- 8+ years of experience in a paralegal function, including eDiscovery, contract review, and litigation support management experience.
- Prior experience managing internal and external litigation support on large and complex litigation cases is required.
- Thorough knowledge of all litigation lifecycle stages, including an understanding of standard eDiscovery concepts and related eDiscovery processes, case law, associated rules, and regulations.
- Experience planning and managing large-scale eDiscovery technology projects.
- Experience evaluating and extracting data from enterprise data management tools such as SharePoint, Box, and/or Office 365, including an ability to think creatively to provide solutions to complex litigation discovery challenges, including analysis of legal risk, privacy, data accessibility, and information security.
- General understanding of privacy laws, legal hold, and litigation eDiscovery best practices, including an ability to provide first-level review of vendor contracts in the areas of IT and eDiscovery contract provisions.
- Ability to work directly with litigation team members, technical staff, outside counsel, and technical third-party vendors to evaluate complex technology solutions and develop litigation data management plans to meet litigation objectives.
- Experience in “Big Data” database management, AI data application, data integration, and M365 and other collaborative sites.
- Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills and a thorough working knowledge of a variety of computer and data forensic software, including spreadsheets, document management, email, and database programs.
- Working knowledge of the latest eDiscovery vendors, software tools, and processes, with the ability to customize and onboard these solutions for litigation discovery responses.
- Working knowledge of global privacy and cybersecurity concepts and related rules and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, collaborative tools, and legal support applications.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience understanding a wide range of enterprise and third-party eDiscovery technology software solutions, such as Relativity (data review tool) and Guidance (internal data collection and processing tool).

The range for this position is $95,989.00 - $131,985.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
