Corning is seeking an experienced SuccessFactors Employee Central System Administrator responsible for configuration, maintenance, provisioning, operation, and ongoing administration of the application. This position will be a key member of the Human Resources Operations & Analytics team, which includes both HRIM and IT professionals. To support the on-going operation and optimization of SuccessFactors, this position will:

  • Ensure the design of system supports business needs.
  • Perform analysis and develop solutions that solve business problems/opportunities.
  • Use system knowledge and expertise to understand business processes, gaps and opportunities to convert that knowledge into effective implementation.
  • Manage implementation of upgrades and patches - including testing, validation, communications.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of Corning’s configuration, including position management and role based permissions.
  • Understand of Corning’s data model and recommended SuccessFactors best practices.
  • Serve as team lead on Mergers & Acquisitions in terms of designing data conversions and systems configuration to ensure timely integration of additions to workforce.
  • Work closely with third-party support resources, SuccessFactors resources and Corning IT service lines in resolving day-to-day issues with the system.
  • Partner with lead for role-based security and provide back-up to that resource.
  • Develop expertise in deploying third-party SAP AppCenter Applications
  • Collaboratively support data maintenance organization and data dictionary owner in maintaining integrity and accuracy of HR data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, HR or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in SuccessFactors cloud based modules in a global setting.
  • Minimum of 10 years total experience in HRIM or IT focused on applications
  • Prior experience with Employee Central
  • Knowledge of system application security and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment with accuracy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in system conversions, implementations, integrations with in-house and 3rd party solutions.
  • Able to identify system solutions and solve business needs using technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex data issues to determine root cause.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to function effectively when working independently or in a team.
  • Results oriented and able to drive issue resolution.
  • Detail oriented, organized, proactive.
  • Strong time management skills.

  • Success Factors Expert Accredited in Employee Central for a global corporation
  • Experience with position management on a global scale
  • Proven experience with additional SuccessFactors modules
  • Project leadership skills with proven project management experience
