Position Description:
This role is part of a strategic finance group, Enterprise Risk & Intelligence, which delivers analysis and insight on enterprise risk management (ERM) techniques, enterprise value drivers and corporate financial strategy approaches. ERM informs the operations of the Risk Council, which provides assurance to management and the Board that an effective risk management program is operational, and that management continuously considers the risks facing the company in its evaluation of the company’s ability to achieve its long-range strategy and business objectives. The Manager, Operational Risk Management will engage across the business in the identification and management of the company’s significant risks and build risk awareness across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Work with businesses and corporate teams, including government affairs, IT, GSM, and the Business Continuity Office, to identify and monitor strategic, operational, legal, financial, and reputational risks across the enterprise
- Conduct risk assessments on projects/programs, initiatives, and strategies related to corporate and functional goals and objectives, collecting, and analyzing data and educating stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to develop a portfolio view of risk considerations across the enterprise, including the identification of dependencies that may exist between MAPs or risks
- Pursue continuous improvement to improve the efficiency and usefulness of ERM; to include new technology, performance, changes to organization or risk appetite, benchmarking, etc.
- Develop reporting and monitoring for enterprise risks, including opportunities for the application of advanced analytics.
- Escalate timely and actionable information to key stakeholders, including the China Risk Sub-Council
- Support the Director, Enterprise Risk on all aspects of the ERM program and other strategic finance initiatives, as required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a quantitative discipline (ex: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science)
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in finance, strategy, business continuity or other related field
- Experience in strategy development
- Demonstrated leadership ability with the desire to engage across global teams
- Project management experience including proven problem-solving skills with ability to influence decision making
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives
- Strong analytical skills; able to distill data to key insights
Required Skills:
- Must be a self-starting leader who can balance independent action in close partnership with multiple stakeholders
- Must be inquisitive and open to challenging traditional processes and thinking
- Able to present analysis to senior level stakeholders
- Strong leadership and business partnership skills

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with risk management concepts, including the COSO Enterprise Risk Management Framework, NIST Risk Management Framework or ISO 3100
- Lean/Six Sigma background or experience working with PEx tools
- Experience with FactSet and/or S&P Capital IQ
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or other dashboard software a plus
Soft Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
- Addresses every task as a process that can be documented and potentially automated or handed off to others
- Can quickly assess a problem, explain it and map out potential solutions; driven to “get to the bottom” of every issue
Travel: For a candidate hired in Charlotte, travel to Corning, NY may be required every 6-to-8 weeks via our Corning Shuttle Service.
