Scope of Position:
The candidate would serve as a member of Corning's Work Place Services Division to support both mechanical and electrical facility engineering initiatives. The candidate is required to be proficient in Auto CAD MEP.
In this role, the intern will provide assistance for the following types of projects:
- Create and update facility drawings and schematics for mechanical and electrical systems. Applicant must be
proficient in AutoCAD. - Perform field verifications and measurements of existing mechanical equipment serving heating, air-conditioning
and exhaust systems. - Perform HVAC system equipment labeling and enter systems into the Maintenance management system
(Maximo). - Verify the heating and air-conditioning computer control graphics represent actual field conditions.
- Create AutoCAD drawing templates for HVAC projects.

Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May 27th – July 31st, 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

- Ability to use experimentation to develop basic process knowledge, design prototype test systems, and perform

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
