Scope of Position:

In this role as the Regional Security Manager, Corning Valley Corning Global Security (CGS), you will drive the delivery of life changing innovation by protecting Corning's People, Property and Values. Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Talent management of supervisors and security officers across multiple locations to include performance, training, growth and progression
  • Establish and maintain a solid partnership with facility leadership across all divisions to review Global Security and facility initiatives, and guidance on best security practices
  • Engagement with the leadership of the contract security provider on hiring needs, performance and expectations of contract security officer requirements
  • Assists with strategic planning for Security Operations, and ensure communication and engagement within all levels of operations
  • Support various internal Global Security functions, with operational responsibility for regulatory programs and compliance, investigations, and executive protection
  • Maintain an understanding of CGS security standards, conduct ongoing security assessments at all facilities and provide recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Attend facility project meetings, provide security guidance and coordination of technical/ vendor support with the CGS Service Delivery Team
  • Lead projects that support the standardization and continuous improvement initiatives with regard to operational programs and processes
  • Responsible for operational metrics
  • Conduct employee security awareness training
  • Support investigative matters with initial fact finding and ongoing action through partnership with Security Operations, Investigations and facility leadership
  • Responsible for managing and meeting financial and operating objectives of security operations for the facilities included in the region of responsibility

 

Travel Requirements:

  •  Up to 25%

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Standard business hours (M-F), with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation when needed

 

Required Education and Years and Area of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or two-year degree plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership position.

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • ASIS CPP or PSP certification
  • Green Belt certification
  • Technology oriented
  • Experience in a corporate security function
