Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day cost control activities for multiple business units. This includes: Project set up, first approver of purchase requisitions
  • Pricing of shipments
  • Monthly cost reporting (spent/committed/budget/forecast)
  • Monthly project reviews with project manager and area leader (or location/plant controller) Research/resolve project cost issues
  • Monthly forecasting
  • Monthly account reconciliations
  • Quarterly/monthly capital spending accruals
  • Capitalizations and project close out
  • Planview subject matter expert and data entry input
  • Propose and implement solutions to routine problems with guidance from other team members,
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives, identifying, implementing and executing changes to standard operating procedures
  • Familiarize yourself with corporate policy/procedures, enforce internal process controls and process discipline
  • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support audit requests

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associates Degree
  • 3-5 yrs. experience preferred

Required Skills:

  • Basic Accounting skills and accounting theory
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must communicate effectively
  • MicroSoft Office (must have intermediate excel skills), or other comparable computer applications
  • Must be able to multi-task

Desired Skills:

  • PeopleSoft finance applications skills
  • SAP application skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Willingness to grow within the organization
