CSS Manager II, Business Process Engineering

The CSS Manager II, Business Process Engineering will be responsible for evolving the strategy and leading the team in vision, scope, and scale in Performance Excellence and Quality.  This person must be process and controls oriented, culturally adept, and open minded.

 

Scope of Position:

  • Lead the Global Business Process Engineering (BPE) team to execute and deliver Finance and CSS quality and Performance Excellence initiatives
  • Quality Lead for Finance Function – Advocate, champion, promote, and drive quality processes within and Finance Function; includes highlighting quality successes, providing consulting, and championing quality tools and processes within the Finance Function

 

Business Process Engineering Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Leads, Advocates, and Champions PEx tools and processes within CSS and Finance to achieve business strategies and key results
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through individual improvement programs.
  • Ensure consistent focus and communications on PEx
  • Develop and coach site leaders to ensure belt development and local objectives achieved
  • Overseas PEX governance and deployment throughout CSS and Finance
  • Representing the Division/Function as a member of the PEx Council.
  • Promoting the correct use of the DMAIC/DESGN/PQA/Lean tools.
  • Works closely with each of the regional SSCs and ensures a cohesive and consolidated PEx Portfolio for executing throughout the year
  • Rewarding recognition for excellent performance and ensuring consistency across the division. (People’s Choice, iDMAICs awards, iDMAIC nominations, Raffles, etc)
  • Delivers quality initiatives and measurable ROI in accordance with the AOP
    • Partners across the organization as appropriate for quality gains in both efficiency and effectiveness (STO, PSO, Ops, and Supporting Solutions)
    • Develops core metrics for team performance and benefit articulation
  • Regularly networks within the Quality community to support cross-functional initiatives and/or collaboration opportunities
    • Includes supporting the Finance professionals under various divisions and functions
  • Ensures the sustainability and articulated value of existing investment:
    • Quality Architecture – accurate, up-to-date and audited documents are stored and leveraged
    • Process Mapping – BMPN capability is installed beyond existing BPE staff
    • KT Tools – Trained and available within CSS Division and beyond BPE staff

  • Develops core metrics for team performance and benefit articulation
  • Promotes and communicates the progress on quality initiatives for CSS, Division Leadership, and Finance
  • Tracking and reporting progress against Division/Function PEx objectives to appropriate levels within the organization.
    • Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis as needed to support business initiatives and decisioning
  • Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely and effective resolution

 

Travel Requirements:

  • <25% domestic/international travel possible; depending on business need

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple groups globally and in a cross-functional team setting

Desired Skills:

  • Green Belt certification, or willingness and commitment of being greenbelt certified within first year of role
  • Strong organization skills, process rigor, attention to detail, responsive
  • Understanding of Shared Services operations; Transformation work including work in Shared Services Centers ideal
  • Extensive knowledge of SSC processes supported
