Global Security Systems Administrator

 

Location: Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC

 

Role Purpose: The Global Security Systems Administrator will be responsible for the programming and maintenance of the access control and CCTV systems globally to ensure operability, reliability, and application security requirements are maintained.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Ensure system standards are being uniformly applied on a global basis.
  • Perform system programming for system installation projects and required changes.
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop and execute integrations between multiple systems.
  • Provide recommendations to project leaders on the order and placement of security equipment for flawless integration with current systems.
  • Coordinate with IT when necessary to prevent, troubleshoot, or resolve issues relating to security equipment.
  • Works with outside vendors to resolve service-related tickets globally.
  • Act as Technical SME for IT integrated systems.
  • Participate in Lifecycle Management program for security assets.
  • Create technical documentation on systems and processes for business continuity as well as training for security owned applications.
  • Keep up with current security industry practices, techniques, and standards by testing and vetting new technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience working with servers and database management.
  • 5+ years of experience with Lifecycle Management.
  • 5+ years of experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with SQL databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Fundamental understanding of IT systems, networking, and server management.

 

Desired Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field.

 

Expectations:

  • Ability to write queries and reports using MSSQL and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Ability to study data trends and develop predictive analysis around equipment failure and mean time between failures across multiple technology platforms.
  • Ability to clearly articulate commonalities in equipment failures and develop corrective actions with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Ability to build strong intra-team work relationships and proactively resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to build productive relationships, resolve complex issues and win or repair customer trust.
  • Ability to effectively get work done through others.
  • Significant phone and computer usage is necessary.
  • Computer proficiency (e-mail, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Excel working with large data sets, filtering, counting, linking, importing, and exporting data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including database structure and query writing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI, including building dashboards and the integration of multiple data sources to create detailed reporting.
  • Able to work effectively across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Flexible and willing to work evening or early morning hours to accommodate hours of the global team.

 

Travel Requirements: ~5% 

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • May require some weeknight or weekend work on short notice.
