Role summary:

This role owns division-level planning for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and capacity analysis to enable on-time launches and decision-ready capacity recommendations. The role partners with cross-functional teams and site stakeholders to build integrated launch plans, translate demand and volume assumptions into supply and capacity requirements, and surface constraints, scenarios, and actions—supporting the Fairport, NY plant and other sites assigned.

Key responsibilities:

  • NPI planning ownership: Build and maintain end-to-end NPI supply plans (milestones, assumptions, supply readiness, and risk register) from development through manufacturing cutover across supported product lines/sites
  • Capacity analysis: Translate demand scenarios into capacity requirements (equipment, labor, materials, constraints) and recommend options (debottlenecking, shift patterns, outsourcing, capex triggers)
  • Scenario planning: Run “what-if” analyses for launch volumes, yield/rate assumptions, changeovers, and ramp curves; document trade-offs and decision points
  • Cross-functional integration: Partner with Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Finance to align assumptions, readiness, and execution plans across division and site teams
  • Data & governance: Own inputs/assumptions and version control for NPI and capacity models; ensure a single, auditable plan of record
  • Steering updates: Communicate status, risks, and recommended decisions in concise, decision-ready formats for division leadership and site stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement: Improve planning templates, the capacity modeling approach, and handoffs to site execution teams

Interfaces / key stakeholders:

  • Division integrated planning / IBP / S&OE (as applicable)
  • Site leadership and production planning (including Fairport, NY)
  • Engineering (process, equipment, industrial)
  • Commercial / product management (demand and launch assumptions)
  • Finance (capex cases, cost trade-offs)
  • Procurement / supplier management

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in supply chain planning, manufacturing planning, industrial engineering, operations analytics, or related roles
  • Launch experience: Demonstrated experience supporting NPIs and/or ramp-to-volume planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Analytical skills: Strong capability in capacity modeling, constraint analysis, and scenario planning
  • Communication: Able to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations and decisions
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to influence across functions without direct authority
  • Tools: Excel/Power BI, ERP, capacity modeling tools, IBP/SIOP tools

Preferred:

  • Experience across multiple sites or a network planning role
  • Six Sigma / Lean / structured problem-solving background

Success in the first 6–12 months looks like:

  • NPI launches have a clear plan of record with quantified risks and mitigations across supported sites
  • Capacity constraints are identified early, with agreed scenarios and action plans
  • Stakeholders trust the assumptions and use the outputs for decisions

Working conditions:

  • Travel: 25%
  • Onsite expectation: Base in Corning, NY with travel to the Fairport, NY plant and other supported sites as needed
