Scope of Position:

Responsible for transferring demand into a production schedule Partner with process department subject matter experts to generate schedules balancing department metrics, constraints, and delivery * Support and/or lead projects Act as a back-up for other schedulers Actively identify potential short-term capacity or timing issues meeting the plan Manage asset line time request meetings to meet project team requirements and production demand

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate MRP (Material Requirements Planning) messages and determine which WIP to process and when to support upstream processes
  • Communicate with other schedulers within the department if gaps are identified upstream or downstream for WIP (Work in Progress) needs
  • Publish/revise schedules to assure upstream/downstream requirements are met
  • Develop short term (4 week) plan

Travel Requirements: You can expect travel less than 5% of the time.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Your typical work schedule will be 8-5pm M-F although you should expect to have flexibility for off shift and weekend coverage is expected to support project assignments including overtime.

Required Education and Experience:

You should have 4 year degree (3-5 year Planning and/or Manufacturing experience) well as:

Minimum 3-5 years production scheduling experience. Experience with MRP/ERP. Proficient computer skills using databases and spreadsheets. Detail oriented and data driven. Flexibility with change and contingency planning. Able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skill:

Peoplesoft software skills. LEAN fundamentals and application. Teammate

Your verbal and written communication skills as well as attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity will be significant skills for success.
