Role Purpose
The Quality Engineer supports daily quality activities within a manufacturing or pilot production environment. This entry-level role works closely with manufacturing, process engineering, and site leadership to help ensure products and processes meet defined quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
The Quality Engineer assists with inspections, quality documentation, nonconformance tracking, process monitoring, and continuous improvement activities. This role also supports process-related quality efforts by helping analyze process performance, participating in investigations, and contributing to actions that improve product consistency and manufacturing control.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and maintenance of quality standards, inspection methods, product acceptance criteria, and process control requirements for manufacturing operations.
- Assist with in-process and final quality activities, including inspection plans, data collection, review of production records, and verification of adherence to specifications.
- Help investigate nonconformances, product defects, and process deviations, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions in partnership with manufacturing and process engineering.
- Partner with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure quality requirements, process controls, and product specifications are understood and followed on the production floor.
- Analyze quality and process data to identify trends, support process capability understanding, and highlight opportunities for product and process improvement.
- Maintain quality documentation, reports, and records to support traceability, compliance, process validation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support audits, validation efforts, trial activities, and other quality system or process improvement initiatives as needed.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, Chemical, Mechanical, or related technical field preferred.
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or early career experience in manufacturing, quality, process engineering, or industrial environments preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly in a production environment.
- Familiarity with basic quality and process improvement tools such as root cause analysis, data analysis, inspection methods, SPC, or statistical techniques preferred.
- Experience with Excel and other data/documentation tools preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, glass, automated equipment, or other industrial environments is a plus.
- Up to 50% travel required

The range for this position is $67,237.00 - $92,451.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
