Role Purpose
The Specialist Quality and Process Training is responsible for maintaining comprehensive training and qualification programs to ensure personnel competency across all tool sets, equipment, and experimental processes in a multi-shift R&D environment. Additional responsibilities include process and quality systems support, auditing and improvement projects. This role fosters operational excellence by driving a culture of discipline, compliance, quality and continuous improvement through robust training processes, documentation practices, and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain training plans for process technician and process assistant roles, including onboarding, job-specific training, and continuing education.
- Ensure all personnel are trained to consistently follow SOPs, standard operating set points, and process of records, supporting compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Coordinate training sessions with operations supervisor based on project demands and personnel availability.
- Systematically track and analyze training and qualification data to ensure the correct number of personnel are certified for each tool set and shift.
- Ensure the process includes multiple feedback loops and data collection activities throughout the job lifecycle to monitor progress, validate outcomes, and capture lessons learned.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to integrate experimental work seamlessly into R&D workflows without compromising safety or compliance.
- Collect, maintain, and report accurate records confirming adherence to SOPs and set points.
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Design sampling procedures, inspection plans and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
- Assists Engineering and Operations in implementation of appropriate Quality tools to ensure final products meet customer requirements
- Leads investigations and drives to resolution of customer complaints and other root cause investigations that affect product or process performance
- Lead and/or support projects and apply PEx tools to yield process improvements with the purpose of increased quality, process understanding, or reducing complexity.
- Ensure audit readiness through rigorous documentation practices and compliance tracking.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Minimum Associate's degree in Engineering, Science, Human Resources, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in R&D or training coordination.
- Strong knowledge of R&D processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in training management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience with competency-based training and certification programs.
- Familiarity with quality systems and process discipline methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The range for this position is $84,932.00 - $116,782.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
