Scope of Position: In this role, you will develop, build and manage the sales organization for new packaging customers. We look to you for developing and implementing target account plans the deliver various product lines that result in the growth of the business.


Key Responsibilities

Account Management

• Engage with account managers on daily activities involving customer accounts

• Collaborate with Customer service on commercial orders

• Assist account manager to meet Black book and Green Book targets for accounts New Customer Development

• Drive new sales with new customers by participating in tradeshows and conferences, managing samples and NDAs, and other activities and processes that enable new sales

• Collaborate with Market and Competitive intelligence and other sales members (such as technical sales and sales leads in other regions) to proactively reach out to and pitch products to new customers

• Meet new customer sales performance targets set by Global sales director


Travel Requirements:

• 25-50% domestically with possible international at times


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

M-F, standard business hours


Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical degree preferred


Required Years and Area of Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience sales or business development experience.


Required Skills:

• Work experience in an international matrix organization.

• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships including working effectively with management and senior leadership.

• System experience working with SAP and/or Peoplesoft

• Ability to handle high pressure situations.

• Proven experience leading and executing change management within a team or organization.

• Effective problem solver who can work with ambiguity but make sound business decisions

• Effective at listening to understand key concerns for internal / external customers

• Strong communication skills to advance difficult negotiations

• Ability to overcome objections, and be resilient in the face of rejection

• Understanding of the Pharmaceutical marketplace.

• Ability to quickly learn technical aspects of the Valor product design and how it impacts product claims.

• Understanding of product claims impact to the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and the value they create.

• Creates effective methods to distribute information and knowledge across customer organizations

• Ability to see ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately.

• Team player with solid skills in group decision making

• Strong organizational and process management skills including the ability to prioritize (own work and those of employees) workload, meet deadlines, and the ability to multi-task

• Strong, effective communication skills (verbal and written) and builds rapport with all levels of the organization

• Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate flexibility in the face of changing/evolving priorities and in a stressful, demanding work environment
