The Clinical Management Specialist applies seasoned clinical expertise and strong judgment to guide complex healthcare decisions; strengthen relationships with healthcare systems, specialists, and vendors; and advance enterprise health services priorities.
Through extensive experience and trusted relationships with global healthcare partners, this individual facilitates timely access to highly sought-after, high-quality care; consults with senior leaders and executive-level healthcare stakeholders; and helps shape clinical service standards, strategies, and outcomes across Health Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess complex employee and family member healthcare needs and develop tailored strategies to support navigation across the full healthcare journey, including medical, physical, and behavioral health needs.
- Facilitate access to high-demand, high-quality providers, specialists, centers of excellence, and healthcare systems for individuals with complex, urgent, or sensitive healthcare circumstances.
- Serve as a senior clinical consultant for executive health and specialized care matters, translating complex medical information into clear, compassionate, and actionable guidance for employees, family members, and appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Provide designated clinical backup support to the CMO, within established scope of practice and delegation protocols, including supporting clinical decision-making, case consultation, triage, continuity of operations, and priority Health Services initiatives.
- Partner with the CMO and Health Services leadership to develop, enhance, and implement clinical service standards, care-navigation practices, escalation pathways, and operational processes that improve employee experience, access, quality, and outcomes.
- Exercise substantial independent judgment in evaluating complex clinical and service issues, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing solutions that align with organizational objectives, clinical standards, and applicable regulations.
- Represent Health Services with executive presence in senior-level internal and external meetings; communicate complex clinical issues, recommendations, and risks clearly to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
- Build, maintain, and enhance strategic relationships with senior leaders across local, regional, national, and international healthcare systems; specialty providers; insurers; vendors; and centers of excellence.
- Serve as a primary clinical liaison and advocate with healthcare partners on behalf of employees and family members, particularly in situations requiring elevated coordination, discretion, and persistence.
- Collaborate with Benefits, Human Resources, Legal, risk management, insurers, and external partners to resolve complex healthcare access and benefits matters while protecting privacy and maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries.
- Lead or contribute significantly to cross-functional initiatives that advance Health Services strategy, including initiatives related to executive health, complex-care navigation, clinical quality, vendor performance, and healthcare access.
- Independently manage multiple high-priority cases and initiatives, balancing urgent needs with long-term strategic objectives and ensuring exceptional follow-through.
- Identify trends, systemic barriers, and emerging employee healthcare needs; recommend and help implement improvements to services, processes, partnerships, and clinical resources.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, professional standards of practice, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, local, and international requirements.

- Current, active, and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in good standing; ability to obtain and maintain licensure in North Carolina and/or New York, as required.
- Current national certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA), where required by applicable law or organizational policy.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible clinical experience as a licensed Physician Assistant, including experience managing complex patient-care needs and coordinating with multidisciplinary care teams.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and develop solutions to complex, non-routine clinical and operational problems under general direction.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior leaders, executive populations, high-profile individuals, or similarly complex and confidential patient/client populations.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, specialty care pathways, provider networks, benefits navigation, and clinical care coordination.
- Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and consultation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, families, physicians, executives, and external healthcare leaders.
- Proven ability to establish credibility and sustain productive relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external healthcare partners.
- Highly organized and able to manage sensitive, time-critical matters with sound judgment, discretion, and flawless follow-through.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and standard business applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Experiences/Education – Desired
- Experience serving in executive health, occupational health, concierge medicine, complex care management, specialty care navigation, or a comparable high-touch clinical environment.
