Position Purpose

The Senior Events Specialist is a member of a high-performance work team that leads the support of internal and external customer visits and all other events at Sullivan Park and other buildings as needed.  This position is responsible to plan logistics for all assigned visits and events to include interfacing with other groups such as culinary, media services, Sullivan Park operations, security, corporate events, corporate communications, WPS facilities, and trade show teams.

 

The Senior Event Specialist position requires the ability to interface with SLT, CMG, and Executives with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism with high attention to detail and flawless execution of internal and external customer visits to meet the requirements of the Corning host.  This position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks to include working with the hosts to develop agendas, ground transportation, presentations, demos, and business specific lab tours with the highest degree of confidentiality. Visits/events that could be assigned with minimal support needed from the S&T Event Manager include Investor Relations, Government Affairs, CEO Technology Reviews and SLT, CMG, Executive Hosted External Customer Visits.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working within event coordination
  • Experience in supporting Executive level hosted customers (Senior Leadership Team and Corning Management Group level preferred)
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree
  • Individual must be able to lead and function in a team environment to deliver quality events
  •  Individual must be able to communicate professionally with senior leadership and diverse employee base

Desired

  • Familiarity with spaces of Corning buildings such as Sullivan Park, ZV, and CMoG
  • Experience in working with Aramark or any culinary vendor
  • Experience in working with WPS Customer Service and Facilities groups for work orders

The range for this position is $71,890.00 - $98,849.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
