Scope of Position:
Supervisory responsibility of shift personnel working in Research Melting operations - monitors daily operations of the unit and actively assists, or provides direction to subordinates as required.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring safety training, PPE and safe work practices.
- Monitor rotation/team performance.
- Set expectations and objectives for team.
- Monitor and track training of shift personnel.
- Enforce adherence to policies and procedures.
- Meet the requirements of the experiments in progress to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills:
- 4-year degree in an Engineering discipline OR 5 years of experience – supervisory or relevant technical experience
- People management
- Conflict resolution skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong technical fundamentals with process development/engineering skills
Desired Skills:
- Mechanical, Ceramics, or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Previous supervisory experience
- Fundamental knowledge of melting and forming
- Knowledge of material science engineering
Work schedule: Rotating shift schedule (24/7 coverage)
