Scope of Position:

Supervisory responsibility of shift personnel working in Research Melting operations - monitors daily operations of the unit and actively assists, or provides direction to subordinates as required.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring safety training, PPE and safe work practices.
• Monitor rotation/team performance.
• Set expectations and objectives for team.
• Monitor and track training of shift personnel.
• Enforce adherence to policies and procedures.
• Meet the requirements of the experiments in progress to ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:

• 4-year degree in an Engineering discipline OR 5 years of experience – supervisory or relevant technical experience
• People management
• Conflict resolution skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong technical fundamentals with process development/engineering skills

Desired Skills:

• Mechanical, Ceramics, or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
• Previous supervisory experience
• Fundamental knowledge of melting and forming
• Knowledge of material science engineering

Work schedule: Rotating shift schedule (24/7 coverage)
