Role Purpose

  • Primary role is order processing for Specialty Fiber used in the sale of Specialty Optical fiber. 
  • Will oversee inventory levels, scheduling of ware, shipping, customer returns, and ensuring product meets specifications.
  • Order Management and shipment planning.
  • Interfacing with Customer Service Reps to fulfill customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipment planning of standard Specialty Fiber Products
  • Monitor inventory levels, feedback to manufacturing if priorities change
  • Primary interface with Commercial Customer Service Rep, managing POs, shipment against schedule, customer issues/sales or customer service representative issues.
  • Provide specific product information through interface with Customer Service Reps and/or Applications Engineer.
  • Interface with Optical Fiber processing resources in production of fiber
  • Work cooperatively across multiple functions and process areas                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience with strong math/science aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and disciplined, accurate work habits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database systems.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience in manufacturing, production operations, or scheduling.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several process steps simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or Performance Excellence tools.
  • Knowledge of optical fiber products, processes, or related manufacturing environments.

The range for this position is $58,411.00 - $80,316.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
