Role Purpose
Support the Sullivan Park Environmental, Health & Safety & Materials Management team day to day tasks for all process and laboratory operations onsite, focusing on air emissions compliance (federal and state). Compliance-related projects could include air or water compliance programs as well as site refrigerant use tracking and NYS Part 494 implementation, and ISO 14001 EMS project development and participation. Projects can vary across various Corning businesses located at Sullivan Park and satellite areas. Divisions represented at Sullivan Park include Optical, Display, Environmental, Specialty, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical, as well as Emerging Innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical support for existing federal and state regulations, updates, and modification as required for documentation (namely NYS DEC State Facility Air Operating Permit, Part 212, and NYS Parts 494 and 495)
- Responsibility for submitting state and federal compliance reports
- Evaluate regulatory applicability of and compliance assurance for air regulations to new and modified processes
- Communicate environmental regulations and corporate Environmental Policy and Guidelines as they pertain to the S&T/Sullivan Park sites.
- Participate with review of projects, plans, specifications, and purchases to verify environmental compliance
- Support environmental assessments along with mitigation activities that will identify, evaluate and prevent non-compliant conditions or acts
Experiences/Education - Required
• 2+ years experience. BS in environmental science, EHS management, engineering, materials science, or related technical field.
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (minimum)
• Demonstrates respect and courtesy for others
• Positive professional attitude and willingness to learn
• Can work independently and within a diverse team environment
Experiences/Education - Desired
• Air emissions regulatory compliance, 2-5 years
• Experience with management of change processes
• Goal and results oriented

The range for this position is $73,310.00 - $100,801.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
