About the role:
Corning Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain leader to join the Procurement transformation team. As a key player in our Supply Chain transformation, this role will focus on building the global supply chain procurement capabilities and standards for Corning, as well as partnering with Corning’s businesses to lead their procurement transformation journey towards best-in-class practices.
This leader will oversee the implementation of supply chain procurement work processes and standards and collaboration with cross-functional teams at Corning’s businesses to effectively implement, lead change management and adoption of procurement standards.
As a member of the Procurement team, s/he will be a key contributor of optimizing Corning Supply Chain from a service, cost, and working capital perspective and contributing to the global procurement organization. This role is highly visible and has growth potential to evolve into a broader leadership position.
Key Responsibilities of the role but are not limited to:
- Lead the implementation of the procurement standard work processes at Corning’s businesses.
- Develop content and train users on standard work processes
- Partner with businesses in adopting best in class practices in purchasing, sourcing, supplier relationship management, supply risk management and supply sustainability.
- Partner with the Procurement COE in identification of process gaps, development, and implementation.
- Develop project scope, plan, and deliverables, and ensuring the plan is completed on time and within scope.
- Tracking project performance and reporting on progress to stakeholders.
- Identify and lead opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and implementing best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with deep Supply Chain experience that will drive better collaboration across functions and improve procurement strategies
- Proficiency in advanced ERP environments. SAP preferred
- Ability to identify and execute process improvement initiatives that will drive productivity
Desired Skills / Experience:
- Operations experience in a manufacturing and / or plant environment preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
Location and Travel Requirement:
- Corning, NY
- Up to 25% primarily domestic travel

The range for this position is $161,066.00 - $221,467.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
