Key Responsibilities

  • Design, synthesize, and characterize formulations for inks, adhesives, and coatings
  • Develop and optimize polymer systems to meet targeted application and performance needs
  • Explore new functional materials and apply structure-property relationships to solve technical challenges
  • Plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and translate findings into clear recommendations
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to move ideas from research into innovative products and technologies
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation and communicate results effectively to stakeholders
  • Stay current on emerging materials, technologies, and formulation approaches to help drive innovation

 

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Adhesion Science, or a related field
  • 0–5 years of experience in polymer formulation, materials development, or related research through industry, internships, or academic research
  • Strong foundation in polymer chemistry and polymer-based materials
  • Experience developing and characterizing formulations for inks, adhesives, coatings, or related systems
  • Strong experimental design, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate technical findings clearly
  • High attention to detail in laboratory work, documentation, and analysis

 

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience with thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, and/or composite materials
  • Familiarity with formulation additives such as plasticizers, fillers, stabilizers, and rheology modifiers
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or similar software
  • Familiarity with intellectual property processes, including invention disclosures or patent writing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment

The range for this position is $87,079.00 - $119,734.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
