Role Purpose

• Design collateral and develop marketing materials that support global initiatives and programs
• Develop content for various communications tools, including Web, promotional materials, videos, presentations, brochures, graphics, posters, etc.
• Participate in ongoing marcom-related projects where writing, technical/web skills as well as project management skills are needed
• Develop ideas, write, and edit content for internal and external audiences and lead approvals processes.
• Ability to work across various managerial levels
• Provide communications support across S&T’s global locations
• Coordinate with corporate communications and other Corning businesses, as appropriate
• Lead internal and external projects and document processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content that will be used across various tools for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify internal and external promotional opportunities
  • Coordinate with corporate communications on corporate and business events related to S&T initiatives, as appropriate
  • Participate in projects that involve vendors, work within budgets, and meet timelines
  • Collaborate with S&T MarCom team and communications colleagues across the globe, as needed
  • Develop messages, create content, serve as S&T representative on appropriate projects
  • Plan events, lead meetings and manage projects
  • Travel Requirements: Some domestic travel. 1-10% a year
  • Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Full-time >40 hrs/week

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism or related fields and 3-5 years of related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to craft messaging, ensure accuracy and consistency in communications, and apply different writing styles per audience
  • Ability to work with different level managers across multiple functions, anticipate challenges, analyze and limit risks and recommend and execute alternate scenarios as required
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Creative, organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies and markets
  • Strong project management skills with ability to assess priorities and to move multiple assignments forward in tandem effectively and efficiently
  • High skill level with Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop)
  • High skill level with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience and comfort with web-based tools and interfaces
  • Self-motivated; takes initiative

The range for this position is $70,350.00 - $96,732.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
