Role Purpose
The Process & Product Integration Engineer supports early-stage product and process development for new product introduction (NPI). This role works closely with Research, Development, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to execute experiments, build and measure customer samples, integrate product and process data, and help establish foundational processes for pilot operations and manufacturing scale‑up.
- Product, Process & Data Integration: Leads and executes early‑stage product engineering activities, including sample builds, measurement, documentation, and integration of product, process, equipment, and data requirements. Conducts hands‑on experimentation to assess new materials, optimize process conditions, and validate equipment performance.
- Sample Operations & Customer Sample Delivery: Executes build‑measure‑ship sample workflows to ensure accurate, high‑quality, on‑time delivery, applying strong product understanding to guide operations, data review, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Process Development & Scaling: Supports early‑stage process development through structured experimentation, data analysis, and documentation, identifying capability and readiness gaps and contributing to closure plans. Help stabilize processes and prepare transfer packages for pilot or manufacturing partners.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborates daily with scientists, engineers, technicians, and quality partners to troubleshoot issues, communicate findings, and implement corrective actions, while preparing product and process data for stakeholder reviews and technical updates.
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Supports continuous improvement by refining early processes and systems to enhance cost, quality, yield, cycle time, and safety, applying structured problem‑solving tools such as DOE, SPC, and systematic troubleshooting appropriate for C‑band engineering development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage priorities from requests and requirements from a wide range of internal and external customers including Commercial, Product Engineering, Product Reliability, Samples Manager and Research
- Execute hands-on experiments, sample builds, process trials, and metrology tasks
- Collect, analyze, and communicate data to inform next‑step decisions and process improvements
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement scalable, resilient data architectures that support early-stage program development
- Support integration of equipment, metrology, and data systems for early‑stage operations
- Engage in cross‑functional meetings to align on technical needs, build schedules, sample requirements, and readiness for next development phases
- Provide critical input and leadership for product and process risk assessments, product quality architecture, data architecture and systems, and sample/pilot operations
- Document work and generate IP as appropriate
Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs. International travel could be required as well
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Electrical, Ceramic Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of engineering/manufacturing experience
- 3-5 years of Experience in early‑stage product or process development, NPI, or pilot operations
- Strong technical engineering skills and experience completing projects in development, engineering or manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated ability to work hands‑on with processes, equipment, experiments, and data systems
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, learning quickly, and adapting to evolving technical requirements
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with quality systems, metrology tools, measurement methods, and data traceability
- Ability to interpret technical feedback and convert into experiment plans or next‑step actions
- Drive for results, such as time-sensitive need to ship samples and product

The range for this position is $95,402.00 - $131,179.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
