Role Description:

Develop and execute tactical Demand/Supply Plan based on most recent Demand statement. The execution of the tactical Demand/Supply Plan should rely on planner’s ability to work with different functions and plants to ensure that the proper resources are allocated and supply executed upon to meet demand statements.


  • Develop weekly Demand/Supply Plan based on weekly Demand Statement utilizing Division’s planning tool.
  • Review tactical FS Demand/Supply Plan with GG Supply Chain Manager and with Demand Management team to assure inventory targets are being met and there are no risks in meeting existing orders.
  • Utilize weekly FS Demand/Supply Plan to develop product melt schedules (Tactical Plans) for each plant and melting line.
  • Ensure tactical plan is executed on time and elevate any potential risks to meeting the plan to the Gorilla Glass Supply Chain Manager.
  • Provide guidance to the operating units on what to prioritize for shipment and ensure glass that is on hold at plants gets dispositioned and released in timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain data and assumptions used in planning tool:
    • Inventory Safety Stock targets
    • Tank melting capabilities (products, thicknesses, …)
    • Line Downtime
    • Shipping routes (lead time/costs)
  • Execute weekly planning meetings with supply chain at each plant to communicate plans, identify and discuss issues, and ensure Gorilla planning understands the latest manufacturing assumptions and constraints.


  • Required: Bachelor of Science: Business, Technical or Supply Chain
  • 1-3 years Supply Chain, Production Planning, Forecasting and/or Logistics experience preferred.
